About

  • The Play Specialist Service (TPSS) is run by myself, Vicki Ivie, and was formed in January 2017.

  •  I have been a qualified and registered Community Health Play Specialist since 2008 and a Family Systemic Practitioner since 2015.

  • I begin my sessions by  establishing a trusting relationship with the child, young person (YP) and family.

  • The outcome is usually a positive one. Anxiety levels are reduced, coping strategies put in place, new skills learnt  which allow those to feel  empowered  and able to move forward.

  • I  offer pre and post bereavement work,  and support for families struggling with change, and uncertainty.

  • I work collaboratively with other professionals from all agencies including those in the health, educational, social sector and charities.

  • My sessions are face to face and can be held from my own therapy room in Sutton, Greater London,  from a therapy room in London (not far from Great Porltand Street), schools, places of worship and family home (this does incur an extra charge for travel). I can and do offer online sessions using Skype, Zoom or Teams.

  • Training sessions / workshops are carried out in the firms workplace.

  • I run parent workshops, professional training programs and supervision sessions.

Please contact The Play Specialist Service for prices and see my CV page for further information in regard to my qualifications and experience.
